Turismo Slow nella Toscana de’ Medici

Turismo Slow nella Toscana de’ Medici” is a project funded by the Italian Ministry of Tourism con il “through the “Fund for Municipalities with cultural, historical, artistic, and landscape value whose territories includeUNESCO World Heritage Sites” with the aim of supporting the recovery of the tourism sector, which was particularly affected by the crisis generated by the Covid-19 pandemic, in municipalities characterized by a strong tourism and cultural vocation.

The initiatives include the development of tools for digital tourism enhancement and promotion, tourist itineraries, tourism marketing projects, as well as building, structural, or plant engineering works and installations aimed at increasing accessibility and tourist appeal.

The municipalities of Vaglia (lead partner) Barberino di Mugello, Carmignano, Fiesole, Poggio a Caiano, Scarperia e San Piero, all belonging to the UNESCO Medici Villas sitejoined together in partnership and presented a project that was funded by the Italian Ministry of Tourism with €484,421.75.
